Bonjour! My name is Madame Gwynn. A little bit about me: I am married with two beautiful kids who are 12 and 10 years old and we have 2 dogs, and a cat. Oh, and I'm obsessed with anything French and Disney! I was born and raised here in Georgia and didn’t take French until my freshman year of high school, just like you. I loved it so much that I took all 4 years and decided to make it my major in college. After high school, I went to West Georgia for 2 years and transferred to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) where I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in French. Still unsure what I wanted to do with it at this point, I moved to the south of France for a year where I taught English in a French High School. This is when I knew I loved teaching too. So, I put the 2 loves together and moved back to Georgia and pursued my Master’s Degree in French and Teaching Certification from Georgia State University and graduated in 2003.
My teaching career started at Matt Elementary in 2004 in Forsyth County, which was fun and cute; however, I didn’t feel challenged as a teacher and decided to go back to teaching what I knew I loved: high school. From there, I taught French at South Cobb High School for two years, and after having my 2nd child, I decided I could have the best of both worlds and started teaching on-line for Ga Virtual School in the fall of 2007. I missed the face to face but wasn’t quite ready to go back every day, so I got a job teaching English as a second language part-time at Kennesaw State University. In 2011, I got back into Cobb County and have been teaching in the county ever since. I'm here, ready to help you with anything you need, you just have to let me know! I am really looking forward to an exciting semester!!!
